We immediately loved Olga Corsini‘s straight talk and sparkling green eyes. It didn’t take us long to get that Olga has multi talents: jewelry expert and amazing designer, she became a passionnate entrepreneur. Born in Florence, she grew up in an artistic field between Rome and Tuscany. After studying in prestigious schools in Florence and Milan, Olga integrated famous Italian houses such as Bulgari and Gucci, before leaving for Paris to become a designer for Chaumet.
In 2011, she settled in Switzerland with her husband and helped him developing watch brand he founded: Valbray. In parallel, she imagines a jewellery line “ready to wear” she starts developing on top of the unique pièces she creates tailor made. A passionate meeting that once again proves that Lausanne is full of amazing creators and creations.
Define your style in three words ?
I love balance, I am romantic, and I often go for round and soft shapes, generous and harmonious.
As a jewelry designer, what is your style?
Romantic, thorough, élégant.
Your inspirations to create your pieces?
Spices. Historical and precious ingredients, they express different style of women: a pepper woman is not a vanilla woman, right?
Are there any rules when it comes to wearing jewelry? Do you have limits when it comes to wearing a certain amount of pieces at the same time?
The rule for me is Harmony, a mix of elegance and balance. But that balance is proper to each woman, as it depends on her morphology, her skin tone, her hair cut….
Your most precious jewelry and why ?
Tuscany. It’s my first ring’s name – a unique piece – created around a wonderful 11-carat aquamarine from Mozambique that my father offered me for my 14 year old birthday. We created it it together and that’s when my passion for jewelry, that became my job, initiated.
Any advice for a young entrepreneur ?
Choose a project you’re really passionate about, as only passion will help you get through never ending hours of work awaiting!!! Of course, a little bit of luck and madness 😊 !
